Obituary
Eugene "Gene" Steinbach, age 74 of Columbus, Minnesota passed away at his home surrounded by family after a long battle with melanoma. Gene was a longtime 3M construction worker and former employee of Carlos Avery. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sally; their children, Gina (Scott) Isaac, Tony; grandchildren, Jamie, Andy, Katie, Adam and Ashley; 5 great-grandchildren, sister, Mary Ann (Don) Mielke. He is preceded in death by daughter, Debbie Bennett. He loved working outside, supplying hundreds of people firewood over the years through his hobby. A Celebration of Gene's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Hope Free Lutheran Church, 18323 Lexington Ave. Wyoming, MN. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake, Minnesota
