Albert Augustine

September 6, 1928 — July 24, 2011

Albert Augustine, age 82 of Scandia, died peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2011 while surrounded by his family. Albert served his country in the United States Air Force before becoming the proud co-owner of Augie's Catering with his brothers. He will be fondly remembered as a loving and adventurous man. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Catherine; infant daughter, Annie; brothers, Ray and LeRoy. He will be forever missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia; children, Catherine (David) Hawkinson, Curtis (Kathleen), Lee (Debbie), Paula (Tom) Kemmerer, Sue Augustine; grandchildren, Carly, Neil, Kari, Erica, Shane, Ryan, Alicia, Jessica, Lynnea, Dustin; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Judy) Augustine; other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake with a rosary service following. Visitation will continue from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Church of Saint Peter.
