Ardyce Holmes

Ardyce M. Holmes Forest Lake, passed away Sunday April 6th, 2014. Ardyce was born April 3rd 1932.She was preceded in death by her Birth Mother Rose Osman and her adoptive Parents Daniel and Florence Strandberg. She is survived by her son Michael Holmes and her daughter Kim Holmes Tichenor. Her Grandson Justin Antinozzi. Her sister Pauline and her brother Leland. She was employed for many years at the Forest Lake Times as circulation manager. She loved life and was always ready to tell a joke. A few of her favorite sayings were… "Oh My No!" "Ya-youbetchya" and Uffda! She was a devoted Vikings fan and a member of the American Legion. In the late 60s she was the drill leader for the womens color guard troop. The troop made it all the way to the winter carnival parade in Duluth. When she moved to Forest Lake she was always a part of the 4th of July parade either being in charge of the float for the Forest Lake Times or helping out at the Legion with the food and festivities. She was always a part of the community. She was loved. She will be missed. Private family services were held.
