Arlene Anderson

December 8, 1934 — May 7, 2015

Arlene E. Anderson, age 80, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2015, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer Disease. Arlene taught preschool for many years at All God's Children Preschool; in addition to teaching and volunteering her time and talents for many years at The Church of Saint Peter. She will be remembered as a giving and loving woman; who had a gift of gab. She never met a person she could not strike up a conversation with and who felt like a lifelong friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Helen (Martin) Tacheny; infant daughter, Catherine Jo; great-granddaughter, Hadley; brothers, Donald, James, Eugene; sisters, Virginia, Loretta. She is survived by her husband, Carroll Sr.; children, Marvin (Debbie), Carroll Jr. (Julie), Mark Sr. (Maureen), Mimi (Ron) Petroske; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandy Pederson; many other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday and 9:00-10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.
