Arlynn Christenson

Arlynn "A.C." Christenson, age 76, of Linwood Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 with his family by his side. A.C. was born on January 28, 1937 in Evansville, Minnesota to his parents, Arlie and Amy Christenson. He graduated from Battle Lake High School in Battle Lake, Minnesota in 1955. A.C. served in the United States Army from October of 1957 to October of 1960. He went to technical school in 1966, graduating in 1968, leading him into a career with Control Data as an Electronics Technician for 22 years. Among working other various jobs, A.C. had many hobbies and interests that included bowling, reading, baseball and spending time with his family. He retired in 1999, later spending most of his time working around the house, listening to the Minnesota Twins on the radio, traveling and spending time with his family. A.C. is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon of 52 years; daughter, Kelly (Johnny) Noel; son, Arlie (Angelina) Christenson; brother, Gerald "Lefty" Christenson; special niece, Jennie Hedlund; grandchildren: Easton Noel, Collin Walker, Austin Christenson, Melanie Christenson, Caitlin Burger and Wyatt Burger and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Donna Keegan and Janice Christenson and his grandson, Jack Burger. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 7, 2013 at Sunnyside Free Lutheran Church, 6633 227th Avenue NE, Stacy, MN. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, continuing one hour prior to service at church. Interment at Linwood Cemetery.
