Ashley McCauley

Ashley A. McCauley (nee Wislicenus), age 26 of Otsego, formerly of Forest Lake, died following a car accident on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Ashley Wislicenus was born October 28, 1986 at Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, NC. Ashley graduated from Forest Lake Senior High School, Class of 2004. Following high school, she studied marketing and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Metro State. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Daniel McCauley on December 29, 2007. She was employed as an International Sourcing Manager with ATK Security and Sporting. In addition to her employment, Ashley followed her dreams of becoming an entrepreneur and was the founder and CEO of True North Organic. Through her business, she donated a portion of each sale to various animal shelters. Through the use of her natural products she wished to assist in preventing cancers. Ashley was passionate about the environment, helping those around her and living life to the fullest. She loved children, animals, nature, designing, music, playing board games, sewing, painting, chatting around a bonfire and going to the lake. Above all, time spent with her husband, their four legged children, family and friends was what filled Ashley's soul. She will be dearly missed and remembered as a loving and faithful person. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Kathleen O'Connell; beloved cat, Mac. She will be forever loved by her devoted and loving husband, Dan; four legged babies, Gracie, Charli, Buddy, Mick; parents, Daniel and Traci O'Connell; siblings, Emily, Danny; grandparents, Dan (Kathleen) O'Connell, Carol Owens, Rogenna Wislicenus; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Jean McCauley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike (Shannah) McCauley, Kristine (Roger) Loeffelholz, Deidre (Randy) Henry; nieces and nephews, Brenden, Haley and Hayden McCauley, Erin and Liberty Kelley, Austin Loeffelholz, Miranda Severson-Kelley, Dylan Wilson (Henry); aunts, uncles, many cousins, family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the family.
