Loechel, Barbara L.Age 40Of Forest Lake, MNDied January 27, 2004Barbara was born February 17, 1963 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Patricia (Martin) Loechel. She was united in marriage to Bill Thorpe on October 9, 1993. Barbara worked as a Senior Software Engineer with United Defense. She enjoyed gardening, ''crafting'', nature and computers. Most of all she enjoyed being a wife and a mother. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mother. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Bill Thorpe, beautiful children Theodore ''Teddy'' Ryan Thorpe & Dana ''Dany'' Marie Thorpe; parents, Henry & Patricia Loechel; sister Terri (Steven) Scott; brother Michael and wife (Julia Caballero) Loechel; mother-in-law & father-in-law William & Barbara Thorpe Jr.; maternal grandmother Helen Martin; sister-in-laws Christa Ann (Brian) McLaughlin & Barbara Sue (Mike) Nelson; nephews Christopher Scott & Jacob Nelson; niece Allie Scott; many cousins, family, and friends.Funeral Service 10:00 AM Monday February 2, 2004 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 7087 Goiffon Road-Centerville, Minnesota. Visitation 5-8PM Sunday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, continuing one hour prior to service at the church. Burial at St. Genevieve Catholic Cemetery.
