Ben David

Ben A. David, Age 76 Of Lino Lakes, died on September 14, 2011. Preceded in death by wife Sharon; son James "Jay"; mother Shirley. Survived by son Brian (Wendy), daughter Mari (Mark) Simon; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother James (Karen) Schmitz. Ben proudly served his country and his community. He retired from the United States Air Force, having served in both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and member of the American Legion. Ben was a police officer, and retired from the Papillion, NE police force. He served as the Chief of Police for Missouri Valley, IA and retired from the MN Dept. of Corrections. Ben had also worked for the former Horner-Waldorf Paper Co. Funeral Service 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2011 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment 1:45 p.m., Tuesday at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area 2.
