Carol Elise (nee Gustafson) Lilygren

Carol Elise (nee Gustafson) Lilygren, age 87, of Forest Lake, passed away on May 16, 2024.

Her fondness for Christmas was always evident as she delighted in the tradition of adorning a real tree with tinsel, bringing joy to all who gathered around it. Her appreciation for nature extended to her cherished lilac bushes and vibrant flowers, a testament to her love for beauty in all forms.
Carol's love for animals, particularly her beloved pet Mindy, showcased her nurturing and caring spirit. Her home was always filled with the warmth and companionship of cats and dogs, a reflection of her kind and gentle heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Dora Gustafson; siblings, Charlotte, Dorothy, Shirley, Robert, Carl Jr., Conrad, and infant brother.

She is survived by children, Kim (Mark) Morrisette, Jill (Tom) Waldren, John Lilygren, Bruce Lilygren, Patricia (Mark) Stroinski, Janet (Jeff) Halseth; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Dr., Forest Lake, MN.  Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials are preferred.
