Carol Preisler

Carol J. Preisler, age 80, of Forest Lake, Minnesota passed away in the loving arms of her daughters Jody and Wendy on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vera and Ellis Bloom; her son, Scott and her beloved husband, best friend and soul mate, Ted R. Preisler. Carol grew up in the Chisago City, Lindstrom, Shafer and Forest Lake area. She and Ted met when they were the age of two and they were destined to be together from that moment on. Carol and Ted were married on November 24, 1953 and from there they raised three children, Jody, Scott and Wendy. Carol's life was filled with the love of her family and the joy she received from animals and nature. She often commented that her best friends were God's creatures. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Kevin (husband to Wendy) McKinnon; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jody's Children, son, Shawn (Annie) Preisler, and their children, Anika, Aubrey, Elijah, Amittai and Orion. Daughter, Jillian (Josh) Lehner, and their children, Preston and Ezra; Wendy's children, son, Corey (Andrea) McKinnon, and their children, Malia, Malachi, Mavrick and Marshall. Son Ryan (Heidi) McKinnon, and their children, Ryder and Jocelyn. Daughter, Angela (Kevin) Secor and their daughter, Brynn; Scott's Children, son, Richie Peloquin (and his daughter, Jennifer). Daughter, Jillian Rose Preisler (Jeff) and son, Adam Preisler (Jamie) with his children, Ethan, Kaiden and Carter. Her sisters, Sue (Fran) Schlager and Sharon (Ron) Peterson and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Preisler and Bloom families. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, continuing one hour prior to service at church. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake, Minnesota.
