Carol Westemeier

Carol Annette Westemeier, 51, passed away on January 17, 2017 after a courageous battle with melanoma. She was born on August 15, 1965 to Richard Allen Bentley and Beverly Ann Kreyer in Rochester, MN. Carol was educated in Lake City, MN and moved to Rochester, MN after graduation. She married Darrin John Westemeier on June 26, 1987. They raised three beautiful children: Derek Scott, Amanda Renee, and Heather Eileen. Her family was the joy and pride of her life. She was a successful business owner and earned her real estate license. She enjoyed camping, fishing, knitting, scrapbooking, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. Her fun-loving and generous spirit will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Darrin; her children, Derek, Amanda, and Heather. She is also survived by her parents, maternal grandmother, Doris. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews and many extended family. Her best dog friend, Kylee, will miss her too. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up to honor Carol. Donations can be directed to Mattson Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Aliana Hospice for their care and support, as well as close family and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 11:30-1:30 p.m., Saturday at Mattson Funeral Home.
