Carolyn Frenning

Carolyn "Sis" Elaine Frenning, age 81 of Stacy, Minnesota, died September 11, 2012. "Sis" was born in Forest Lake to Arthur P. and Hildur Anderson on Oct. 17, 1930. She was baptized at Faith Lutheran Church, Forest Lake on Dec. 7, 1930. In April 1931 she moved with her family to a farm in East Bethel. She attended elementary school in East Bethel and graduated from St. Francis High School, St. Francis on May 27, 1948. She was confirmed in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Ham Lake Township on Sept. 24, 1944. Sis still had active ties to this church and community. On June 24, 1950 she married Lawrence Frenning and moved to Stacy, which continued to be her home. They adopted Kevin and Lynnell in 1956 and 1958. She had been active in many areas of the community and church for over 60 years, but her greatest love was serving God. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Eugene and Kenneth "Bud". Sis is survived by her children; brothers, Clarence (Myrtle), Donald (Sharon), and other extended family. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 31075 Genesis Ave., Stacy. Visitation 4-8 p.m., Friday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment at Stacy Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church.
