Catherine Riopel

Catherine R. Riopel, age 80 of Maplewood, formerly of Hugo, died, June 26, 2008.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Waters; husband Louis G. Riopel; son Richard Riopel; son-in-law Edward Hayes; brothers, William and Thomas Waters.

She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her including her children, Allen (Darlene), Joseph (Kellie), Mary Lou (Lanny) Burr; Cecilia Hayes, Michael (Amy), Rose Ann (Jeff) Kirsch, Julie Riopel Tuma, Carolyn (Joey) Solem, Monica (Tim) Schamberger, David; 23 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings, George, Raymond, James; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 14383 Forest Blvd, Hugo. Visitation will be 3:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to mass at the church. Interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
