Cape, Charles WAge 82Of Forest LakeDied January 2, 2004. He retired from the University of Minnesota after 20 years of service. He was a WWII veteran. He was a Lino Lakes Civil Defense Director, a member of the VFW Post #6583, and actively involved with the Columbus Senior Center. He enjoyed volunteering with many other organizations. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances in 1999, brothers and sister. He is survived by his son; Richard (Shelley) Cape, daughters; Carol Fitzgerald and Jeanette (Lloyd) Duraine, grandchildren; Vicki Duraine, Jeff Duraine, Kevin Trepanier, Cory Fitzgerald, Wendy Cape and Charles Cape, great-grandchildren; Kyle and Jacob Duraine, several nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM Monday January 5, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Chuch, 171 Elm Street, Lino Lakes. Visitation 3-6PM Sunday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, continuing one hour prior to Mass at the church.
