Charles Drake

Born October. 9, 1957~Died September 15, 2009

Born to Robert T. and Margaret A. Drake, Mpls. He graduated Richfield High School 1976 and attended Normandale Community College in Bloomington.

Chip owned and operated his own carpet and drapery cleaning business known as New Castle Cleaners. He lived in Forest Lake and cared for his mother until she moved to an assisted living facility. Chip enjoyed his time at his Father’s cabin in the Brainerd Lakes area, along with hunting and fishing. In his later years he enjoyed the company of good friends and good food. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his former wife Cindy (Adolphson) Drake; father Robert T. Drake; mother Margaret Drake-Moegle; and grand niece Jaycee Hietala.

Survived by his brother Robert “Skip” Drake; sister-in-law Bonnie R. Drake; nephew

Robert “Rob” Drake; nieces Chris (Drake) Arens and Erika Drake; grand nephew Sean Arens; and Grand niece Leah Arens.

Memorial service 1 PM, Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Gathering of family and friends 12:30 PM until time of service. Inurnment in Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Prayer Garden.
