Cheryl Ann Westlund

Cheryl Ann Westlund, age 67, of Stacy, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 8, 2025. She was born on June 17, 1957 and was known for her warmth, generosity, and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world. She grew up in White Bear Lake and moved to Stacy, where she graduated from North Branch High School in 1975. It was in high school that she met her husband of 48 years, Daniel Westlund. They had one son, Dustin Westlund.

Cheryl worked over 25 years at the Forest Lake Times and for Target after that. She loved her time watching her nieces dance, or play softball, her pets, and her grand-pups. She enjoyed making her famous pink Jello for every holiday, baking bars and other goodies for the annual family gathering called the “Chicken Fry.” She chose the most thoughtful personalized greeting cards for her loved ones and liked to watch NASCAR with Danny on Sunday afternoons while eating chips and salsa. She didn't like a lot of attention towards her and avoided the camera most of the time. The love she shared and the memories she created will live on forever in her loved one’s hearts.

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel; son, Dustin (Mary) Westlund; parents, Norman and Vyonne Falk; step-mother, Veronna Dickey; siblings, Jay (Kelly) Falk, Shannon (Neal) Snesrud, Amy (Garrett) Falk, Cindy (Brian) Saastad, Debbie (Mike) Carlson, Carolyn (Paul) Paetzel, and Lisa (Jerry) Berken; in-Laws, Warren Westlund, Deb (Scott) Johnson, Denise Fisher, Duane Westlund, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents; biological father, Theodore Dickey; Mother-in-Law, Gloria Westlund; Sister, Teresa Dickey; Brother-in-Law, Shaun Fisher; and nephew, Rusty Mattson. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
