Constance Darling

Age 60, of Forest Lake, lost her courageous battle with ovarian cancer on January 16, 2010.

Preceded in death by parents, William & Ruth Froelich; niece Lorelei Ruth Frank; half brother Donald Froelich.

She is survived by her husband Jon; daughters, Valerie Ann Darling, Amber Elizabeth (James) Novak; granddaughter Isabel Constance Novak; sister Corrine (Thomas) Frank; half brother Garry (Delores) Froelich; nephew William Albert (Nicole) Frank; beloved dogs Dundee and Simon; and many friends.

Connie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. Connie enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping, music, politics, genealogy, dogs, and the company of her good friends. She was proud of her Swedish heritage. She was devoted to her work in Adoption Assistance at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. She was thrilled with the birth of her first grandchild, Isabel Constance, who was born October 16, 2009. Connie was a person of faith who had a gentle, sensitive soul and a loving spirit. She lived her life with class and grace even during her courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Connie was a genuinely good person who will be sorely missed.

Funeral Service 11 AM, Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9300 Scandia Trail, Forest Lake. Visitation 5-8 PM, Friday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at church. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery.
