Corrine “Corky” (Orr) Benoy

Born in St. Paul, MN on May 18, 1924.  She passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023. 

She is survived by loving husband of 70 years, Russell; children, Lisa, Nathan (Marina) and Melanie; grandchildren, Tabitha, Annika and Russell; great grandchildren, Marlee and Mason.

Corrine spent many happy days with her favorite aunt in Crosby, MN, while attending Junior College.  After college she worked for Northwest Airlines for over 10 years. She loved traveling and visited over 20 countries.  She went on many safaris with Russell, the last being to Africa at the age of 80.  She was an avid gardener and was one of the founding members of the Forest Lake Garden Club.  She loved to entertain and hosted so many parties at her home in Forest Lake and their winter home in Mississippi.  

We would like to thank Mom’s caregivers at the Meadows on Fairview for their kindness and good care.  Thanks to Ecumen Hospice for the wonderful care and comfort they gave her.  We appreciate everyone so much.

A private interment will take place on a later date at Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.
