Curtis L. Carlson, age 84, of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, Hilmer & Olga; brothers, Gene, Harold; sister, Stella Anderson; brothers-in-law, Bud Rustebakke, Larry Thurman, and Lyle Anderson. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlys; children, Clinton (Jayne), Robert (Mary), Michael (Susan), Carla (William) Blackledge, Connie (Jeff) Erickson, Kenneth (Lesley); grandchildren, Craig (Kate), Joshua, Tim (Kathy), Melissa (Bob), Christina, Kassandra, Maranna, Christopher (Leslie), Justin (Heather), Katrina (Kurt), Jeremy, Curtis (Liza), Reuben (Jennifer), Charlie, Jimmy, Johnny (Jessica); 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Orpha Rustebakke, Eileen Thurman, Raymond, Gary, Larry (Uarda); sister-in-law, Carol Carlson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Curt was the Founder and Owner of St. Croix Forge and C & S Machine of Forest Lake, MN and The Ultralight Strip in Marana, AZ. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, member of Forest Lake Masonic Lodge 344 and AA 56 Club. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, with 8 p.m. Masonic Service at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment at Victor Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Donor's Favorite Charity.
