Daniel Johnston

Dan E. Johnston, age 69 of Scandia, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 5, 2012. Dan was the retired owner of Precision Bilt Blocks Inc., in New Brighton, Minnesota. Dan was a prolific writer and in his later years pursued this gift extensively through writing a novel and contributing to his website of thephoenixcovenant.com. He loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener for which he loved his flowers. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Donelle; several children and grandchildren; four siblings; other extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
