Darlene E. Johnson

Darlene Edith Johnson, 80, of Scandia, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Birchwood Health Care Center, in Forest Lake, Minnesota.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Norma and Clifford Johnson, Darlene spent much of her life in Scandia on the family dairy farm. She enjoyed taking care of the animals and helping harvest the crops. Darlene was a member of Elim Lutheran Church and attended Forest Lake Senior High School (class of 1962). She loved every moment she spent with family and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Norma and Clifford Johnson and her loving sister, Joan Cole. She is survived by her brother-in-law, William Cole; her nieces and nephews—Robert (Amy) Cole, Kathleen (Pat) Cole Clancy, Samantha (Brad) Flannery, Jacob Cole, Kali Cole, Kennedy Flannery, and Kyler Flannery; as well as many other treasured family members and friends.

Darlene’s family wishes to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff and caregivers at Birchwood Health Care Center and Accent Care Hospice whose dedication and kindness brought comfort during Darlene’s final years of life.

Darlene’s kind heart and spirit will live on in all those who knew her.

Private family services to be held. Interment in Elim Lutheran Cemetery, Scandia.
