David Kazeck

David "Dave" R. Kazeck, age 57, of Chisago City, Minnesota, went to meet his Lord, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. He was born August 4, 1954 the first of four children, born to Rueben and Margaret Kazeck (Pelikan). In 1972, he met his future wife, Karen Carlson and they were married on September 20, 1975. He spent most of his life working for the State of Minnesota in the Office of the State Auditor. In his spare time he spent much of his time in his gardens. Whether it was flowers or vegetables, that is where you could find him. He was also very dedicated to his church home. He was very active with the Sunday School program, and also really enjoyed assisting with the dinner theater "In Bethlehem Inn." He is preceded in death by his parents, Rueben and Margaret. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, son Erick, daughter Melynda, and daughter Rebekka Bahnemann and husband Guy; step-father, Otto Pelikan; his brothers, Dennis & Cindy Kazeck, and Doug and Cindy Kazeck, and his sister Sue & Bob Langerud, sister Fran Pelikan, sister Terry & Perry Butler, sister Erika Englund, brother Tony and Bonnie Pelikan, sister Andrea Pelikan and Darnelle, sister Debbie and Don Hayes, brother Joseph Pelikan; four grandchildren, Allysun Kazeck, Alexis Kazeck, Tatum Bahnemann, and Paityn Bahnemann; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 25402 Itasca Avenue, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Elim Lutheran Cemetery, Scandia.
