David Stavrum

David Harold Stavrum, age 74, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully while at home on February 12, 2022.

Grandpa Pontoon loved to fish, hunt and camp with his family and friends.  Dave loved to plan his next excursion for his family and friends as much as he loved to be doing them. He always had what seemed to be the right advise for anyone who needed it. His kind heart and warm words will truly be missed. The lists he made and projects he completed will always be remembered and cherished. He loved to play cribbage and had many good one liners.  Dave retired from the Department of Corrections after 32 years of service.

He is preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Elmerna, and son, Matthew.  He is survived by wife of 40 years, Marilyn; children, Steven Stangler, Nissa (Jim) Roberts, Robbie (Nicole) Stangler; grandchildren, Nick (Alex) Stangler, Tyler Roberts, Alissa Stangler, Andy Roberts, Jenna Roberts, Max Stangler, Natalie Stangler, Karly Stangler; great grandchildren, Haydenn, Arielle, Zarek, Lilianna, Matthew, Jameson, soon to be here, Virgil; brothers, Dan (Susan), Richard (Periann); 4 legged friends, Copper and Molly; many nieces, Nephews, other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
