Dean H. Lindemann, age 75, of Columbus, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota of complications from cancer.
He was born in Wadena, Minnesota to Adela and Oscar Lindemann. After enlisting in the Army he married his loving wife and then earned his GED while serving in the Army during the Vietnam war. After serving his country he pursued a career as a machinist working at Wyard Industries, Com-tal Machine, and then NACS until he retired.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his trike, dancing, karaoke, and building things. He loved spending time with his family. He was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
He is survived by wife Karen; children, Lisa (John) Hustings and Troy Lindemann; grandchildren, Hayley (Jason) Frickle, Emerson, Varien, and Marshall; and 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Leland Lindemann and Lonnie Lindemann, Wilma Rousu, Carol Knipple, Gail Shiffett, Dora Stamm; and step siblings, Doris Berry and Al Stiles Jr.
He is preceded in death by parents, Adela and Oscar Lindemann; stepfathers, Carl Hillig and Al Stiles Sr.; siblings, Dona Peterson and Gloria Eckdahl; and step siblings, Donna Kleinschmidt and Jerry Stiles.
A celebration of life will be held November 15, 2024 from 3-6:30 pm at the American Legion, 355 W Broadway Avenue, Forest Lake. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
