Dean Nething

Dean L. Nething, age 71, of Litchfield, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2016. Dean Lowell Nething, the son of Lilliard and Hulda (Baumgaard) Nething, was born on November 5, 1945 in Litchfield. He was in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he returned to help on the family farm. He was blessed with two children, Douglas and Lisa. Dean owned and operated several businesses, including Dean's Tank, Inc. from 1990-2013. He enjoyed the hobby farm with all his animals, retirement, his best 4-legged friend Buddy, his church family and friends. Dean was known for his kindhearted and thoughtful generosity, big smile, and contagious laugh. He is survived by his children, Douglas (and Julie) Nething and Lisa (and Steve) Murnane and his grandchildren, Ashley, Kaytlin, Hunter, Mackenzie. He is also survived by his sisters, Beverly Nething, Janice Grimsgard, Judy Hedrick; half-sister, Sophi (and Steve) Miller; half-brother, Edward (and Tracy) Nething. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Phyllis Turck, Joann Nething, Carol Nething, and Gloria Nething; brothers, Harold Nething, Herbert Nething, and David Nething. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Radisson Road Baptist Church, 13627 Radisson Road N.E., Ham Lake. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN.
