Derek Barrett

Derek Craig Barrett "Big Red", age 54, of Wyoming, died Monday, October 18, 2010 following a short battle with cancer. Derek was a proud "Northsider", raised in North Minneapolis and graduating from Patrick Henry High School. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren! He is preceded in death by his mother Dolores. He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife, Tracy; loving daughters, Amy (John) Klemenko, Gina (Kevin) Gardner; grandchildren, Cody Barrett, Jordan, Alivia, Dominic Craig Klemenko; father, Fritz; siblings, Katy (David) Kertzmann, Jeff, Danny (Fran); many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the family.
