Dianne M. Renard

Dianne M. Renard, age 82, formerly of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died suddenly on Thursday, March 16, 2023.  Dianne operated the Ben Franklin store in Forest Lake for many years in addition to owning and managing several other local businesses including DJ’s Video Shoppe, a wallpaper business and accounting work with their masonry business.  She along with her husband, Jacque founded Ace High Casino.  Wintering in Las Vegas until just after Jacque’s death in 2011.  Dianne then wintered in Arizona where she spent time listening to music in the courtyard and visiting with family and friends.  She enjoyed sewing and embroidering and was an avid golfer, bowler and tennis player.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Arlene (nee Stedt) Johnson; husband, Jacque; sons, Rick and Ron.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and were lucky to spend time with her including her children, Randy (Wendy), Renee (Marc) Nelson; grandchildren, Brandon, Matt, Cole (Ana), Ryan, Evan, Raelene, Macy, Madison, Ray, Rosie; great grandson, Teddy; sisters, Darlene VanElsberg, Dolorse (Jerry) Nielsen; many other family and dear friends.

The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2023 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  A prayer service will conclude the evening at 7:00 p.m.  Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.
