Donna Halvorson

Donna Jean Halvorson (Herrick) died March 16, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born November 11, 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota to Roy and Violet Herrick. She was a wonderful wife, and mother, and loyal friend to all who got to know her. An excellent cook, she also loved to garden and to make beaded jewelry - much of which she gave away to her family and friends. Most of all, she took great joy in teaching others about the Bible's hope for the future. Since her dedication in June of 1961 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses she spent her life ministering to others, and teaching them all the wonderful truths contained in the Holy Scriptures. "If a man dies can he live again?....You will call and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands." - Job 14:14, 15 Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Barb and her brother Leroy. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard E. Halvorson Sr., and their 5 children: Richard Halvorson Jr. and wife Deborah; Judith Olson and husband Kermit; Darla Nutter and husband William; Steven Halvorson and wife Jill; and David Halvorson and wife Tina. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Raymond Herrick and his wife Francis; her sister Susan Waste; and her brother, Gary Herrick and his wife Sheila. She also had 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and two special four-legged friends Misty and Danni. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's WITNESSES, 19025 Forest Blvd., Forest Lake, Minnesota.
