Donna Hill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7th.
She is survived by her husband, David Hill; her children, Brian (Michele) Chambers, Katie (Dustin) Drews, and Colin (OhMyeong) Hill; her cherished grandchildren, Sister Regina Marie, Christina, Sarah, Mary, Matthew, Theresa, Brendan, and Rory; her great-grandchildren, Ruby, Desmond, Daniel, and Grace; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mildred Martin; her brother, Bobby Jack Martin; and her son, Brendan Hill.
Donna earned her bachelor’s degree from Doane University and her master’s from The University of Oklahoma, dedicating much of her professional life to helping others as a licensed professional counselor.
She found joy in gardening, canning, birdwatching, crocheting, reading, camping, and, most of all, spending time with those she loved. Born and raised in Texas, Donna spent her later years in Minnesota, but she always considered Lincoln, Nebraska, her true home, where most of her friends and family still reside. She deeply valued the lifelong friendships she formed through the adoption of her children, considering these friends her “forever friends” and sharing countless cherished memories together.
Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the family she created, which continues to grow and thrive, surrounded by the love she nurtured.
