Dorothy Peterson

Dorothy Ruby (Sandgren) Peterson, loving mother, and grandmother, age 85, of Mounds View, MN formerly of Scandia, peacefully slipped into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Dorothy was a testament to both her Christian faith and Swedish heritage.  An employee of City of Mounds View for 30 years.  She is preceded in death by parents, J. Reuben and Adelia Miller; husband, Earl Sandgren; son, David Sandgren; second husband, Franklin Peterson; and sister, Jean Miller.

She is survived by daughter, Kathy (Terry) Korus; grandchildren, Kim (Joe) Ward, Brandon (Jen) Korus; great grandchildren, Dawson, Alden, Auna Ward, and one great granddaughter arriving soon; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2018 at Sunrise United Methodist Church, 7687 Long Lake Rd, Mounds View.  Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, and one hour prior to the service, at the church, on Monday.  Interment will be held at Elim Lutheran Cemetery in Scandia, MN.
