Edmund Whitacre

Edmund "Bud" Whitacre, age 83 of Forest Lake, Minnesota passed away peacefully, April 3, 2011 at The Birchwood Health Care Center. He was longtime employee of Burlington Northern Railroad. In his retirement years he could be found volunteering at Fairview Lakes Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his first wife Betty Lou Whitacre. He is survived by his wife, Bernie (Armstrong) Whitacre; children, Cyndy (Ken) Moore, Nancy (Tom) Beetcher, Mark Whitacre, Jayne George and Kent; grandchildren, Dana Carlson, Russell Moore, Matt Beetcher, Jill Essay, Mindy George, Ben George; six great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at The Church of St. Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the mass at the church. Interment at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Brule, Wisconsin.
