Edward Hein, age 74, of Chisago City, passed away on June 17, 2021. He was born to Edward and Lorraine on October 2, 1946, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. At the age of 17, Edward enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country from 1964 to 1968. He was a war hero in the 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles during the Vietnam War. After his time in the service Edward married Carol Ann and started a family. He made a career as a skilled construction laborer in the Local 132nd. Edward is preceded in death by his parents. Survived by wife of 52 years, Carol Ann; children, Rebecca (Jose), Melissa (Rod), Joe (Roberta), Jeff; grandchildren, Daniella, Arianna, Phillip, Macy; siblings, Ann Louise, Margaret, and Rosemary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at The Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
