Betty, 85, passed away peacefully with a rosary in her hand on August 10, 2007. Born December 18, 1921, in Cumberland, Wisconsin, daughter of Pasquale & Angela Monno. Married June 25, 1949, to Herbert Korf who preceded
her in death after 50 years of marriage. Preceded in death by 6 brothers.
She held a special love for each of her nine children, 27 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Betty cherished her 6 sisters, 7 brothers and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. Betty always greeted family,
friends and visitors with a warm hello and gracious smile--making everyone feel welcomed and loved. No matter what time of day or night one visited, her table was always set with delicious homemade Italian food.
Mom, you'll always be in our hearts, and we will miss you so dearly.
She is survived by her nine children Patricia (Randy) Benham, Marlene (Michael deceased) Husen, Robert Korf, Deborah (Gene) Smeed, DeWayne (Mary) Korf, Therese (Tyler) Hahn, Gina (Chuck) Mosier, Timothy (Becky) Korf & Angela Korf; by her sisters Mary, Jenny, Ann, Cecilia, Lucy, Josephine and brother Pat. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. A wake will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 N. Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.
