Ellen Dingman

February 23, 1916 — April 12, 2013

In Loving Memory of Ellen Smith Dingman, 1916-2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. L.M. Dingman; sister, Beulah (Alvin) Montgomery; brother, Shelby (Milly) Smith. She is survived by children, David (Ruth) Dingman, Martha (Jerry) Talmage; grandchildren, Lisa (Terry) Marsh, Brian (Michelle) Dingman; great grandchild, George Marsh. Ellen resided in Prophetstown, Illinois until her final years as a resident at Parmly Senior Campus (Margaret's House) in Chisago City, Minnesota. Ellen was an active community member, giving time and energy to the First Congregational Church, friends, and family. She graduated from Eureka College and taught in the Prophetstown High School and Tampico Middle School. She will be missed and remembered by many. Ellen encouraged others to be their best, and led by example. Many thanks to the caring staff at Margaret's House and Fairview Lakes Homecaring and Hospice. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home, 320 LaFayette Street, Prophetstown, Illinois. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment at Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois. Memorials may be made to donor's choice, the Prophetstown First Congregational Church , or Margaret's House c/o Parmly LifePointes.
