Evelyn Anshus

Evelyn Anshus died Feb. 15th, 2003. in Forest Lake. Born November. 12, 1908 in Little Fork, MN, daughter of Helmer and Ellen (Anderson) Hanson. She graduated from college in Bemidji in 1930 and taught school in nothern MN for several years. Evelyn was united in marriage to Ingeman Anshus June 18, 1939. Ingeman and Evelyn owned and operated the Silverdale General Store until 1954, when they moved to Littlefork and Evelyn resumed her teaching career. They moved to Forest Lake in 1970, where she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Her husband Ingeman died in 1976, she's survived by her daughter; Ellen Kay (Rodney) Erickson, three grandchildren; Kirstin (Tom) Mohr, Amie (Joel) Abenth, and Scott Erickson, one great grandchild, Zachary Mohr, and nieces and nephews. A memorial service wil be held Friday Feb. 21st at 3PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, with Burial at the Silverdale Cemetery at a later date.
