Evelyn Oberg

Evelyn S. Oberg, age 89, of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thore & Julia Skomedal; husband, Gerald; and brother, Kenneth. Evelyn is survived by her children, Duane G. (Claudette), Glenn (Joyce), Sharon (Tom) Knauff, Judy (Frank) Zerwas, Ione Zurcher, Clara (Scott) Johnson; grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Trisha, Eric, Matthew, Amanda, Tony, Kelsey, Ryan; 19 great grandchildren; many step- grand and great grandchildren; and sister, Thelma (Gerald) Peterson. Evelyn was known as a gentle soul. She was a loving, caring and patient mom and grandma, who will be dearly missed. Visitation 5-8 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015 and 10-11 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2015 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Funeral Home. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery.
