George McAlister

George N. McAlister, age 69, of Forest Lake died following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. George was born to George and Corrine McAlister on July 28, 1943 in Columbia, South Carolina. George was proud to have made his career in the United States Air Force; serving our country for 26 years. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, fishing and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jan; children, Michelle (James) Dunham, Kenneth (Tara) McAlister, George "Schooch" (Katie) McAlister, Dawn (Jesse) Lucas; seven grandchildren; brother, Ken (Karen) McAlister; other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
