Gilbert "Butch" Cournoyea

Gilbert “Butch” F.  Cournoyea Sr., age 81, of Wyoming, Minnesota died Monday, April 3, 2023.  What he loved the most in life was Fishing and Camping with his wife, Marvyl.  Butch loved going to Car Shows where he proudly displayed his Classic Cars.  When he was not at Car Shows, he was rooting for the Vikings.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Katherine; wife, Marvyl; daughter, Julie; grandson, Leroy Doan; son-in-law, Jess Buske; sister, Veronica “Ronnie”.  He is survived by his children, Deborah (Brian) Dahl, Michelle Buske, Gilbert Jr.; grandchildren, Justin, Terry, Ryan, Anthony, Marvyl, Skylar, Lacea; nephew, Mike (Heidi) Gorka; and many great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 17, 2023 at The Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Visitation one hour prior to mass at the church.  Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake, Minnesota.
