Glendon Shaleen

Age 85 of Isle, Minnesota and formerly of Scandia , Minnesota Passed away peacefully on August 19, 2010. Glen was the former owner of Shalander & Shaleen Sand and Gravel and Ski-Doo Business in Scandia , MN . Proudly served his country in the Marines during World War II conflict and was a member of both the Bayport Legion and VFW in Isle, MN. He also served 36 years on the Scandia Fire Department. Preceded in death by wife, Dolores; siblings, Ray Shaleen, Marjorie Lindell and Jeanette Nord. Survived by children, Nancy (Tim) Carlson, Alan (Sue) Shaleen; four grandchildren, Angie Carlson, Becky (Wardell) Haywood, Renee (Jon) Meyer, Michael Shaleen; four great grandchildren, Shea and Reid Meyer, Wardell and Ava Haywood; sister, June (Reuben) Shalander, special friend Grace Lazorik and many other extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Elim Lutheran Church , 20971 Olinda Trail North, Scandia . Visitation will be 5:00~8:00 p.m., Monday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive , Forest Lake and one hour prior to the services at the church.
