Gördis Kunshier

Gördis "Judy" Kunshier, age 93 of North Branch, Minnesota, died peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2016. Judy came to the United State with her family as an infant. The family made their home in Columbia Heights; where Judy attended school. She was united in marriage to Wayne Kunshier on May 6, 1941. Together they made their home in Ham Lake where they raised their family. In her free time, Judy enjoyed reading, crocheting and canning. Above all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished the time spent with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nels and Ida (Emsell) Peterson; husband, Wayne; sons, Nels and Roger; grandson, George Bruzek; five siblings. She will be deeply missed by her children, Richard (LoAnne), Ardel (Michael) Ott, Linda (Kenneth) Sipe, Gary (Teresa) Kunshier, Tina (Greg) Underdahl, Larry Keller, Robert (Diane) Christiansen, Sheri Christiansen, Sheila (Jeff) Provost; eighteen grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; other family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at Oak Park Cemetery, Columbus.
