Hank Nelson

Hilding "Hank" Nelson, of Scandia, passed away peacefully one day before his 80th birthday, surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by parents, John and Ellen; sister Eva (Edwin "Ed") Whalen. Hank is survived by Carol, his loving and devoted wife of 52 years; children, Lynn (Rick) Sandager, Joel (Anne) Nelson; grandchildren, Jeff (Annette), Mark (fiancé Ellen), Peter, Kayla, Emma, Reed; and brother John (Dolores) Nelson. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 25267 Redwing Avenue, Shafer/Franconia Twp. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Friday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to service at the church. Interment at St. Francis Xavier. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
