Harlan John LaValle passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021. He grew up on the LaValle Farm in Hugo, Minnesota and for many years he worked on the farm helping his family. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War as a Corporal Convoy Driver, from 1969 to 1975. Harlan worked at Rehbein Construction for 29 years ending with a career as a Bulldozer Operator in 2007. He was a talented woodworker, avid newspaper reader, and a devoted fan of old western shows.
Preceded in death by his mother, Dolores; father, Alex; and sister-in-law, Mary. He is survived by his true love, wife, Mary; siblings, Thomas, Marvin (Judie), David (Toni), Grace (Jay), Denise, and Dennis; children, Donny (Faith), Shannon (Dennis), and Heather (Dustin); grandchildren, Daniel (Meghan), Savannah, and Alex; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Harlan's life will be held from 2-6 PM, on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Blacksmith Lounge, 17205 Forest Blvd. N, Hugo, MN 55038
