Harland V. Ramberg, age 84 of Chisago City, Minnesota, died Thursday, March 19, 2009.
Harland was born in 1925 and grew up in a farming community in Harris, Minnesota. At the age of 18, he joined the US Navy and served during WWII. After the war, he settled in St. Paul, and worked as an electrician. Later, after obtaining his teaching certificate, he taught the electrical trade at a technical college in St. Paul. He married his wife, Arlene in 1961, and has been married for 48 years. He has three children, Jane (Michael) Hill, Steve (Janice) Ramberg, Andrea (Michael) Reshetar; nine grandchildren, Brenda, James, Katherine, Daniel, Sophia, Abigail, Dale, Erik, Joseph. He retired in 1988 and spent his winters in Mountain Home, Arkansas. In 1999, he and his wife resettled back into the Chisago City area. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2009 at
Kost Evangelical Free Church 37405 Kost Trail, North Branch.
Visitation will be 1:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Covenant Cemetery, Harris, Minnesota.
