Born April 20, 1926 in Fertile, Minnesota to Mr. & Mrs. George W. Droppo, he attended school there and later moved to East Grand Forks, MN.
Harvey served in the Navy during World War II. He settled in Thief River Falls, MN and was married to Delores Adamson in September 1948. Together they had three sons.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters; his wife Delores; and later a special friend, Lois Lindquist.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald (Judy), Ronald (Linda), and Donald (Shelly); eleven grandchildren, Katie, Jessica, Joshua, Andrea, Julie, Justin, Justene, Camden, Amy, Kathy, and Melissa; seven great grandchildren, Franklin, Austin, Bailey, Katelyn, Maddie, Ava, and Brittany; and special friend, Rose Hovey.
Funeral Service 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9300 Scandia Trail, Forest Lake. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.
Visitation will continue from 9:00 until the 10:00 AM service Wednesday at the church. Interment in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
