Kauls, HermannOf Forest LakeAge 92Died on Friday. He was born in Alexandrovsk (now Zaporozya), Ukraine on June 3rd, 1911. His family moved to Riga Latvia in 1924 where he graduated from the University of Riga. He has been an active member of Lettgallia Fraternity since 1934. He married Edith Krause in 1939. They lived in Riga until 1941 when they moved to Heibronn, Germany as displaced persons. In 1952 they immigrated to America with their four children and have lived in Forest Lake ever since. Hermann worked at US Bedding in St. Paul until his retirement in 1979. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Teodors; and sister, Frida. He is survived by his wife, Edith; children, Guido (Ann), Hermann (January), Liliane Schutz (Jack), and Peter (Olivia); 10 granchildren, 13 great grandchildren. Hermann, know familiarly as ''Opa'' was honored at his 90th by friends and relatives. He was feted as a gentleman who was always dignified, polite and caring. In his address, he promised to ''work hard to live up to the reputation.'' He did. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 6th at 1PM at Faith Lutheran Church in Forest Lake. Reviewal will be held at the church two hours prior to service.
