Howard Hawkinson

Howard "Howie" Hawkinson, age 83 of Scandia, Minnesota passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 while surrounded by his family. Howie was a Scandia Town Board member, charter member of the Scandia-Marine Lions and longtime dairy farmer. He is preceded in death by brother, Edward Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Audrey and their children Carolyn (Phillip) Peper, David (Catherine) and Colette (George) Miller; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Lindberg. Howie will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him including his extended family along with fishing and Meisters coffee guys.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Elim Lutheran Church, 20971 Olinda Trail North. The family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Elim Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Elim Lutheran Church.
