Our dearly loved one Inez Larson courageously gave up all her pain and sufferings on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at age 87 and was called by her precious Lord to her eternal home in glory.
We feel so blessed to have been touched by her strength of character, generosity and complementary spirit. She was a dedicated prayer warrior, especially for those who didn't have Jesus in their heart and a faith that lifted all who knew her.
Inez was born in Benson, MN, the daughter of Anna & Ingvald Erickson. She grew up in Benson and graduated from high school in 1936. She married Julius H. Larson in 1938. Julius was a painter and Inez a wonderful homemaker and mother to their two children, a daughter Gloria and son Mark.
In 1968 they moved to Fridley where she and Jule were Resident Apartment Managers and to Forest Lake in 1991 to begin retirement. For the last two years Inez enjoyed and appreciated her assisted living and many friends at the ARBORS.
She especially enjoyed choir music, high school reunions, Old Country Buffet, entertaining of family friends, writing cards and letters to her friends and was a ferocious reader.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jule; a stillborn son, Gary; and a grandson Danny Larson of Pine City.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Gloria (Russ) Mansmith of Forest Lake; a son, Mark (Betty) of Starbuck, MN; and a loving brother and sister-in-law, Hjalmer and Blanche Erickson of Benson, MN. Six adoring grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, as well as countless numbers of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2005, OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 800 10th St., Benson. Visitation 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2005, MATTSON FUNERAL HOME, 343 North Shore Drive, with service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to funeral Thurs. at church. Interment in Our Redeemer Cemetery, Benson.
