Iris Schwarten

Iris L. Schwarten, age 87, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully Dec. 3, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Robert Bacon and Minnie Cairns; sisters, Alice Poehler and Shirley Schenk. Iris was a gifted artist who painted porcelain, played the piano, and found beauty in the world around her. She loved to travel and experience what the world has to offer. Iris was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by Richard, her loving husband of 64 years; children, Suzanne (Al) Larson, Christine (Frank) Golden, Craig (Theresa) Schwarten, Debora (Jeff) Hilger, Robin Schwarten; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren (and 2 on the way); brothers, Jack (Gayle) Bacon, Robert (Mary) Bacon; extended family and friends. Funeral Service 12 Noon, Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation one hour prior to service.
