Jack Reese, age 76, Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather

Passed away peacefully into the hands of God on November 13, 2008. He is survived by his wife Betty; son Mark (Lori) Reese, daughter Melissa (Mark) Felland; daughter Mary (Stephan) Twist. Also survived by grandchildren, Emma Grace, Jack and Marcella Reese; Jon, Daniel and Anna Felland; twin sister Janice (Jim) Behrendt; brother Willard “Bill” (Yvonne) Reese; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was an elementary school educator and principal for many years in the Forest Lake School District and in his retirement enjoyed selling his wares at local flea markets and gun shows throughout the upper Midwest. Although his physical heart failed him in the end, his heart for others was as wide as the sky and as deep as the sea. He touched many, many lives and for that we are deeply grateful.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1790 11 ^th Street SE, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 3:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be dedicated to a scholarship fund in Jack’s honor.
