of Forest Lake

He was born January 20, 1929 and passed away December 30, 2005. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his wife Pearl of 56 years; daughters, Candy (Terry) Sauter, Bobbi (Paul) Frederickson; son Jerry (Lezlee Hustad) Hummel; grandchildren, Cassey, Tony, Kelli, Kevin, Jacob; sisters Rose, Maggie; brother Joe; many close lifelong firends. Jack was called to the service of his country during the Korean Conlfict in 1952. He served with D Co, 279th Inf. Regt, 101st airborne Div. He received two bronze stars and a combat infantryman's badge. Upon discharge of service he went to work for Pacific Standard Life Insurance Co. After retirement in 1989, he spent his time in his hobbies of woodworking and hunting.

No visitation is planned. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am., Monday, January 2, 2006 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. A reception will held at the American Legion, Forest Lake following mass. Private interment will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
